    We are excited to share that BBR Creative Marketing Partners has opened applications for their biennial pro bono marketing event, CreateAthon, happening February 20-21, 2025.

    For 24+ hours, BBR will close shop to conduct an overnight marketing blitz, focusing its time and talents on creating marketing materials for nonprofits across Louisiana. Open to 501(c)(3) organizations in Louisiana that provide direct services in family & community welfare, healthcare, education, youth programs, or the arts, this is an incredible opportunity for nonprofits to receive expert marketing services at no cost.

    Since their first event in 2019, BBR Creative has served 14 nonprofits and donated over $500,000 in marketing services through CreateAthon. This is an excellent opportunity for nonprofits in need of marketing support—don't miss it!

    The Rotary Club of Baton Rouge will be accepting Grant Applications for this Rotary year starting October 1st. The Rotary Club of Baton Rouge, Inc. Foundation Fund will support nonprofit organizations which work to fulfill our vision for children in the East Baton Rouge area. The proposing organizations must demonstrate that it manages its business operations and finances efficiently and wisely and that its personnel can achieve the expected results.

    Grant applicants should keep in mind that priority is given to projects/programs that:

    • Have the potential for creating systemic change that raises the quality of education so all children achieve at a higher level; or
    • Builds on the strengths and assets of individual organizations or institutions engaged in this process of school reform.

    All proposed projects or programs should:

    • Have a high probability of having a favorable impact on student learning
    • Be well defined and well managed
    • Be accountable by measured results

    We’re inspired by the impactful work of Bayou Community Foundation and their recent efforts through the Bayou Recovery Fund for Hurricane Francine Relief. From September 17 - 27th, 2024, BCF awarded grants totaling in $102,700 to eight local nonprofits, each playing a vital role in the recovery of our communities most affected by the storm.

    These grants from BCF's Bayou Recovery Fund have gone directly toward food distribution, housing and utility assistance, and the repair of nonprofit facilities, ensuring support reaches those who need it most:

    • Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux – $25,000 for Individual/Family Assistance Program to provide help to 50 families for housing repairs, temporary housing, utility and rent payments.
    • Second Harvest Food Bank – $25,000 for food and supplies to restock partner food banks and pantries in Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle.
    • TCU Food Bank – $25,000 for food to restock food bank for community distributions.
    • Faith Ministries, International – $5,000 for distribution of emergency food and cleaning supplies.
    • Fletcher Technical Community College Foundation – $7,000 for Student, Faculty and Staff Emergency Assistance Fund.
    • Foundation for Terrebonne General Health System – $10,000 for Employee Recovery Assistance Program.
    • Wallace Community Center – $2,500 for food distribution, and to repair and secure the Beyond the Bell Resource Hub facility in Alidore.
    • Women’s Restoration – $3,200 to repair damages caused by Hurricane Francine at the group home facility. 

    The Bayou Recovery Fund – Hurricane Francine Relief and Recovery Grants Program is NOW CLOSED

    Thanks to their unwavering commitment and passion, BCF has continued to be a beacon of hope for so many during this challenging time. Together, we’re stronger in rebuilding and lifting up our neighbors.

    Faith Ministries International was founded in 2007, and is located in Gray, Louisiana. 

    Mission: To provide hunger relief, offer emergency services, and educational resources. Address hunger needs in poverty stricken communities. Provide emergency assistance to at-risk and underprivileged families. Assist residence affected by Covid-19. Communities affected by hurricanes, fires, lay-offs, Senior Citizens, Veterans, and other emergency needs. 

    Top Goal: Providing food, personal hygiene, and other resources to our residents of Terrebonne and Lafourche Parishes with our food pantry, our Hunger Relief/ Back to School Project that will provide 200 residents with healthy food basic supplies, and other resources.

    The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has announced significant revisions to the Uniform Guidance, promising big changes in how organizations access federal funds. For many nonprofits, this will mean easier application and reporting processes and more funding for indirect costs/overhead. The networks of the National Council of Nonprofits are hosting a free webinar on Thursday, May 30 from 3:30 – 4:30 pm Eastern, as OMB officials Deidre Harrison and Steven P. Mackey and additional experts discuss the latest revisions, implementation timelines, and real-life implications for charitable nonprofits.
