Founded in 2020 and based in Shreveport at the Highland Center, Basic Necessities exists to address a critical gap in basic health and hygiene needs across the ArkLaTex. Through their mission, they provide diapers, wipes, feminine hygiene products, and incontinence supplies to low-income individuals and families in 19 service areas, offering essential support that directly improves quality of life and dignity.

This year, Basic Necessities is focused on expanding their reach to underserved communities and maternal health deserts, ensuring that more families and individuals across the region have reliable access to these vital items. Their work is especially important in areas where such resources are scarce, helping to fill a fundamental need often overlooked.
