This two part workshop series can be taken separately or together. This second 90-minute workshop is designed to help board members strengthen their understanding of governance, financial oversight, and strategic leadership. Whether you’re new to board service or want to enhance your contribution, this session provides clear guidance and actionable tools.
Participants will review the key responsibilities of nonprofit boards, how to work effectively with staff leadership, and how to serve as ambassadors and fundraisers for their mission.
Participants will learn how to: • Review legal and fiduciary duties of nonprofit board members. • Learn the difference between governance and management. • Discover how to engage in strategic planning, fundraising, and advocacy.
Led by experts from the Institute for Nonprofit Administration and Research, this in-person session offers clear guidance, practical tools, and real-world examples tailored to the needs of Louisiana nonprofits.
