United Way of Southwest Louisiana was founded in 1940.
Mission Statement: Positive Community Impact
Top Goal: Every Southwest Louisiana community member have access to all of the building blocks needed to thrive and support their family.
From the organization: "We just finished a new Initiative – Lasagna-Fest – where we fed 8,400 community members lasagna prepared by over 100 volunteers. We would love to share the story with other nonprofits as it was such a successful event and kicked our year off with so many positive outcomes. Our partner agencies, corporate volunteers and team members hope to share the idea with other nonprofits!"
